Little by little, reinforcements should be on their way for the Braves, and one could join them much sooner than expected. According to David O’Brien of The Athletic, Travis d’Arnaud has made significant strides in his rehab and will travel with the team on their upcoming road trip.
Travis d'Arnaud has made big strides in rehab lately, will accompany #Braves on the road and do some hitting and other early work before games.

From the tweet, it still looks like d’Arnaud is a little ways away from being activated off the IL. The Braves are scheduled to wrap up a three-game series with the Padres tomorrow before hitting the road for eight games against the Mets and Phillies. That stretch will ultimately determine if the Braves are buyers or sellers at the trade deadline. It would be wonderful for d’Arnaud to return at some point on the road against division rivals, but that seems highly unlikely. Hopefully, whenever he is cleared to play again, it isn’t too late because his bat adds a lot more juice to the middle of the Braves lineup, something that’s desperately needed.
