Now that the lockout is over, many expect Freeman to be the first significant domino to fall in free agency. The Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Mets, and Dodgers have all been linked to having an interest in Freeman.
Olney recently doubled down on his take on the WAKE and RAKE podcast, saying, “Unless the Braves make that jump, I think Freddie Freeman is gonna leave.” I’d still expect Freeman to give the Braves an opportunity to at least match a Yankees’ offer, but things are moving fast; buckle up.
