Today, the Braves released their official 2024 schedule.

Once again, the Braves will open up on the road against a division rival, this time in Philadelphia. That has the potential to be an extremely intriguing matchup. The Phillies knocked the Braves out of the playoffs in 2022, and it’s very possible the two teams meet again this year. Atlanta will then travel to Chicago for the second series of the season, where I’m sure it will be barely above freezing in early April.
The Braves home opener will take place on Friday, April 5th against the Arizona Diamondbacks. That same homestand will also feature a pivotal four-game series versus the New York Mets. No better way to remind the Mets that nothing has changed than by making a statement within the first couple of weeks of the season.
From the looks of it, the Braves toughest month of the 2024 campaign — in terms of scheduling — is July. It starts off with a homestead against the Giants and Phillies before going out west to play the Diamondbacks and Padres, which is followed by the All-Star break. After that, the Braves host the Cardinals and Reds before ending the month with the Mets and Brewers.
With that being said, it doesn’t matter who the Braves play. They are well on their way to their sixth straight NL East title this season, and they are going to make it seven in 2024.
