After just one game, Johan Camargo is back on the major-league roster. The Braves announced today that he has been recalled, and Spring Training superstar Ehire Adrianza has been placed on the IL.
The #Braves today recalled INF Johan Camargo to the active roster and placed INF Ehire Adrianza on the injured list.

Apparently, this doesn’t have to do with an actual injury. Adrianza was away from the team yesterday for personal reasons, and now he must go through COVID-19 protocols. The Braves were already playing with a four-man bench, so they couldn’t risk waiting for him to return. Now, Adrianza will be out for at least the next ten days, and Camargo will have a chance to prove he deserves a permanent spot on the major-league roster.
Adrianza earned his way onto the Opening Day roster with his Spring Training performance, hitting .400 with two homers and 12 RBIs in 40 at-bats. Meanwhile, Camargo continued to struggle against major-league pitching, which is why he began the year at the team’s alternate training site. I imagine Adrianza will be back on the roster once he’s cleared to return; it would be incredibly unfortunate if he lost out on an opportunity to carve out a full-time role with the Braves due to personal issues.
