The Braves just announced they have recalled Johan Camargo from AAA Gwinnett after optioning Victor Arano and Jasseel De La Cruz to the Stripers following last night’s game.
The #Braves today recalled INF Johan Camargo from Triple-A Gwinnett after optioning RHP VÃctor Arano and RHP Jasseel De La Cruz to the @GoStripers following last night’s game.

Camargo didn’t have a single hit in his first stint with the Braves this year, going 0-11 with a walk. However, he was off to a red-hot start with the Stripers, racking up eight hits and nine walks in just 32 plate appearances — good for an impressive .531 OBP. He also already has three homers in just six games.
The Braves are hoping this success is sustainable at the major-league level, and if it is, he could find himself back in the starting lineup, given how much Cristian Pache has struggled through the first month of the season.
