For the moment, Alex Jackson has returned to the active roster after the Braves decided to option Kyle Wright to Gwinnett camp yesterday.
The #Braves today recalled C Alex Jackson to Atlanta.

Unless there is something wrong with Tyler Flowers or Travis d’Arnaud, this is nothing more than a temporary move. The Braves don’t have to add another starting pitcher to their active roster until Wright’s turn in the rotation is up again, which could be a while with all the off days they have coming up.
What this does tell us is that Jackson is still considered the third catcher right now, even after William Contreras’ promising start to the season. That is significant because the Braves will almost certainly carry three catchers if they make it to the postseason.
