Yes, the Braves just won the World Series, but if you know anything about Alex Anthopoulos, he never sleeps. We’ve already seen a few moves made around the league, which will only ramp up as the days go by. I wouldn’t be surprised if some Braves moves even became official within the next week, and perhaps it will involve one of their pending unrestricted free agents.
Freddie Freeman
We don’t have to say anything here. Re-sign the man. There’s absolutely no reason the Braves shouldn’t get this done.
Eddie Rosario
The Braves would love to keep Rosario, but if some team hands him a multi-year offer like he deserves, I’m not sure if the Braves will match.
Jorge Soler
Everything I just said about Eddie Rosario, you can apply to Jorge Soler. Although, I could see the Braves being a bit more willing to offer the World Series MVP a multi-year deal. With the universal DH likely coming, Soler would be the perfect option for that role.
Jesse Chavez
The journeyman Chavez was an unexpected savior for the Braves. I would love to see the Braves keep him within the organization on a minor-league pact.
Ehire Adrianza
Adrianza also had big moments for the Braves this season. He’s another candidate I would like to see Anthopoulos sign to a minor-league deal.
Chris Martin
Martin had some great years with the Braves, but 2021 was not one of them. I find it unlikely that he returns to Atlanta.
Drew Smyly
Like Martin, I don’t believe Smyly will be back next season. He had some moments, but he wasn’t worth the $11 million the Braves paid him, and Atlanta has enough youth to cover the back-end of their rotation.
