The Braves released their lineup for tonight’s series opener against the Yankees, and Ozzie Albies was not apart of it after exiting last night’s game with what was deemed a cramp.

Albies has started all 117 games for the Braves this season, so he wouldn’t just miss a game for no reason. According to Brian Snitker, he’s still feeling sore in the area and will undergo further testing on his hamstring.
Ozzie Albies still had some soreness in his left hamstring. They’ll do some testing to make sure it’s not more severe than “cramping” that was diagnosed when he left the game Sunday night.

Playing in every game is cool, but the Braves aren’t stupid. Soft tissue injuries tend to linger, so they’re taking the precautionary route and making sure there’s nothing more to this injury. If it continues to feel sore for a couple of more days, expect Albies to spend some time on the IL. They are going to want him 100% for the stretch run, and Nicky Lopez was acquired for a reason. He’s been spectacular in the little time he’s seen the field so far for the Braves since being acquired at the trade deadline from the Royals.
We’ll keep you updated with any news that comes to light regarding Ozzie Albies’ injury.
