Braves All-Star second baseman, Ozzie Albies, continues to progress towards a return to the field. After participating in live batting practice against Cole Hamels over the weekend, he will play in a scrimmage today, receiving 4-5 at-bats at the Braves’ alternate site in Gwinnett — Brian Snitker told the media on Tuesday.
Brian Snitker said that #Braves 2B Ozzie Albies is going to get at least 4-5 AB and play defense in scrimmage game over at the alternate site in Gwinnett tonight.

As McAuley reported, Albies will also play defense in the scrimmage. If everything goes well again tonight, it’s reasonable to expect him back in Atlanta’s lineup within the next few days, which would be a tremendous boost to an already explosive offense.
The Braves have scored 69 runs in their last nine games, and they will need every bit of that firepower going forward with Max Fried landing on the 10-day IL.
