Over the last few weeks, the Braves have progressively gotten healthier, but they are still missing a couple of critical pieces to the puzzle.
Ozzie Albies has been out for over a month and only played in 11 games all season due to a wrist injury, but it looks like his return could be just around the corner. He has slowly started swinging again, and today, he was on the field at Truist Park, taking batting practice from Cole Hamels…

The 36-year-old veteran has yet to make an appearance in a Braves uniform. His injury problems began in February when he hurt his shoulder while weight training. Hamels then suffered from tricep tendinitis before the restart as he was making his way back.
That setback has kept him out until now, but he’s thrown a few bullpens over the last couple of weeks, and now he’s on the field tossing live batting practice to one of Atlanta’s biggest stars. Providing everything continues to go well in his recovery, it appears he could be ready when the Braves need him most.
Hamel’s return, along with Albies, would put Atlanta the closest to full strength that they have been all season, just in time for the playoff run. We will keep you posted here at SportsTalkATL with all the latest updates on Hamels and Albies.
