The Braves made a few roster decisions on Wednesday, placing Matt Adams and Ozzie Albies on the 10-day IL. In their place, they recalled Alex Jackson and reinstated Nick Markakis to the active roster.
The #Braves today placed INF Ozzie Albies (right wrist bone contusion) and INF Matt Adams (strained left hamstring) on the 10-day injured list, recalled C Alex Jackson to Atlanta and reinstated OF Nick Markakis from the restricted list.

Albies’ wrist looks like it will be a lingering issue that could be with him for the entirety of this shortened season. The hope is that this time off will allow it to heal and potentially permanently go away. However, if it doesn’t, it might just be something he will have to learn to play through. Judging by how the Braves have handled it thus far, it doesn’t appear to be an injury that doctors believe will worsen if he plays.
Adams pulled up with a hamstring injury while running to first base last night. The Braves initially said it was “hamstring tightness,” but it looked more like a pull, and Brian Snitker confirmed that is what it was after the game. The team will likely take things very cautiously with Adams because it is an injury that can linger for months if not taken care of properly.
