After a lengthy absence, Ozzie Albies will make his long-awaited return to the Braves lineup tonight.
The #Braves today reinstated INF Ozzie Albies from the 10-day injured list after optioning INF Johan Camargo to the club’s alternate training site following last night’s game.

Albies last appeared for the Braves on August 4th, but he hasn’t been healthy for the entire season. The All-Star second baseman began dealing with a wrist injury just before the start of the shortened campaign, and it was clearly affecting him in the eleven games he played. Albies is only hitting .159 with a homer and two doubles on the season, but the Braves are hoping they will see last year’s version of Albies after letting him spend over a month on the IL.
In a corresponding move, Atlanta optioned Johan Camargo to the team’s alternate site. After the way Camargo started the season, this isn’t that surprising, but it did look like he might be turning things around before Brian Snitker began starting Adeiny Hechavarria over him at second base. Unless there is another injury, it seems like Camargo’s 2020 season is over, and with Austin Riley thriving, it’s difficult to put a finger on what Camargo’s long-term outlook is with the organization.
