The Braves made a transaction today, outrighting recently acquired utility man David Fletcher to Gwinnett, per Mark Bowman.
David Fletcher has been outrighted to Gwinnett. So, Fletcher and Kelenic combined will cost approximately $17M. But Kelenic might be the only one in Atlanta.

Bowman seems to think this could spell the end of Fletcher’s time in Atlanta, much like it did when Evan White was outrighted to Gwinnett after the Braves acquired him in a trade from the Mariners.
That very well could be the case, but it could also be nothing more than a procedural move to create roster flexibility. Most expect David Fletcher to compete for a spot on the 26-man as the team’s primary utility man, much like Nicky Lopez provided the Braves after the trade deadline this past season. However, Vaughn Grissom offers a very similar skill set, so don’t be surprised if the Braves move one of them before the start of the 2024 campaign.
