There are a lot of perks to winning a World Series, and one of them is more nationally televised games. That’s especially beneficial to fans that don’t have the games locally, even if some prefer the local broadcasts (like myself). The Braves Opening Day contest wasn’t initially scheduled to be nationally televised, but that changed today, as it will now exclusively be broadcast on ESPN2, and the time of the game has been changed to 8:00 ET.

There’s nothing quite like Opening Day, and I’m happy the world will get the opportunity to watch this new-look Braves squad. Hopefully, they put the rest of the league on notice that it’s repeat or bust in 2022.
