Braves old friend Ehire Adrianza isn’t staying away from baseball

MLB: APR 12 Reds at Braves

Even though old Braves friend Ehire Adrianza announced his retirement just a couple of weeks ago, he’s not staying away from baseball for long.

According to Daniel Álvarez-Montes of El Extrabase, Adrianza will be joining the Twins’ front office as an assistant of player development, working with infielders at all levels of the organization.

The 35-year-old spent more than a decade in the majors despite boasting an average hit tool at best. The reason he was able to sustain a career from 2013 to 2024 was his ability to play all over the diamond at an elite level.

He returns to Minnesota, which is where he experienced the best years of his career. From 2017 to 2020, right before he joined the Braves and won a World Series, he slashed .253/.317/.377 with the Twins.

This feels like a role he’ll thrive in, and we wish Adrianza nothing but the best in this next stage of his career.
