The MLB lockout has officially ended, and now we’ll get three months’ worth of rumors in a matter of days. According to Mark Feinsand, Jorge Soler should garner a ton of interest, given the CBA’s addition of the universal DH.
The addition of the Universal DH should help free agents such as Jorge Soler. More than a half-dozen teams had already shown interest in the World Series MVP, though that number figures to rise now that the DH is coming to the NL.

Soler’s tear in Atlanta is well documented. Before being traded to the Braves, he was hitting an uninspiring .192 with a .658 OPS. But all of a sudden, Soler became one of the toughest outs in the MLB, walking 29 times in just 55 games to go along with tremendous power. The Braves staff certainly saw something in Soler, and that refined approach only became more apparent in the playoffs on his way to World Series MVP.
The question remains whether the Braves coaching staff feels like they worked out all the kinks in his approach. If the answer is yes, AA should do all he can to bring Soler back. However, the most important free agent is still Freddie Freeman.
