Soroka tweaked his groin late last week throwing BP, so his first start was postponed. However, Snitker has reiterated that it was not a concern and merely precautionary. Better safe than sorry in exhibition play.
After a bullpen early this week, Soroka said he felt “great.”
The young pitcher seems primed to be the Braves’ Opening Day starter, as the team anticipates he should still be able to get five outings in before the beginning of the season.
