Not sure what the Braves, particularly Mike Soroka, did to deserve this, but nothing can go right. Soroka was in good spirits about potentially returning this season, and then the unthinkable happened. Soroka was just walking to the ballpark, and he felt a pop in Achilles. After an MRI, it was found that he completely re-tore the ligament, which will require season ending surgery.
An MRI was performed, which revealed a complete re-tear of the tendon. Soroka will require season-ending surgery, which will be scheduled within the week.

I’m pretty speechless about this news. Obviously, this is gut-wrenching for the Braves, but more importantly, I feel for Soroka. The guy is a pros pro, works his ass off, and just can’t catch a break. Let’s just hope the healing process goes better this time around. Prayers up.
