When it rains, it pours. Coming off the news that Huascar Ynoa would miss multiple months due to a broken hand after he punched the dugout in a loss to the Brewers, the Braves are unlikely to have Mike Soroka back in 2021.
Mike Soroka’s Achilles surgery went well. Nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected. No timetable for his return but Snitker hinted last week he’s not expecting to have him back this year. @BravesOnBally

The Braves continue to suffer from some horrible luck this season, and after it seemed that Mike Soroka would make a Superman-Esque come back in 2021, it appears he is unlikely to pitch again this season. Achilles injuries are tough, and after having it cleaned up, the Braves aren’t going to push Soroka again. Atlanta has suffered from inconsistency and injuries all season with their pitching staff. That trend will continue with two of the best starters in the entire rotation done for an extended period of time.
