Mike Soroka made his first appearance of 2021 earlier this week in the Braves’ final Spring Training game. He struck out two in two innings and gave up one run on a homer. However, the only thing that really matters is whether he suffered any setbacks, which he did not.
Alex Anthopoulos made an appearance on the Braves’ broadcast in the first inning of today’s game and talked about various topics, including Soroka’s progress. He said Soroka felt fantastic after his outing and then stated that the goal is for him to return by the second homestand, which begins on April 23rd.
Unfortunately, since the minor league season has been delayed until May, we won’t get a chance to see Soroka again in a live game. The rest of his tune-ups will have to take place at the team’s alternate training site. However, I’m sure we will get several updates between now and then, and we will keep you up to date with everything right here at SportsTalkATL.
