Baseball is back, which means Mike Soroka injury news has arisen. This time, it’s a hamstring issue that will hold him back early on in Spring Training, manager Brian Snitker told the AJC’s Justin Toscano.
Mike Soroka is dealing with hamstring tightness, manager Brian Snitker said. He reported it when he arrived to camp. The Braves are holding him out as a precaution.

Let’s hope nothing more comes of this. I can’t help but feel absolutely terrible for the guy, and it’s fair to wonder if he’ll ever be healthy.
Outside of the two torn Achilles, Soroka has suffered from several arm injuries, which have cost him time in the past. A hamstring isn’t nearly as worrisome for a pitcher, but it raises concern when talking about Soroka.
There’s a reason why I’m not as high on him as most entering 2023. The young man just can’t stay healthy for a long period of time, and he’ll need to be 100% if he ever wants to return to form. Let’s pray this isn’t the start of another injury-filled campaign for Soroka because there isn’t a person on the planet who is not rooting for him to get right.
