Max Fried returns to the bump tonight after missing a couple of weeks with a hamstring strain he suffered in his first start of the season, as the Braves aim to stretch their win streak to seven games.

Atlanta will also hope to exact a bit of revenge on San Diego, who are responsible for the only real bump the Braves have hit in the road through the early part of the season. The Braves are 1-3 against the Padres and 11-1 against the rest of the league.
With Fried on the mound in Game 1, Atlanta will have their horses in line to put their best foot forward at Petco Park. He’ll be up against Ryan Weathers, which will be followed up by Spencer Strider and Blake Snell tomorrow, and Charlie Morton versus Nick Martinez in the series finale.
