Max Fried’s start was pushed back this week because of a potential blister on his hand. If you have followed Fried’s career from the start until now, you know that’s not a promising sign, but he delivered a gem last night, tossing six innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts in the Braves 10-3 win over the Nationals.
However, after the game, he was placed on the 15-day IL with a blister.
Max Fried will not pitch again during the 2023 regular season.

Like most Braves fans, when the notification popped up on my phone, I almost fainted, but it looks like this is only precautionary. This was Fried’s last start of the season, and he’ll be available when the NLDS begins. I have little doubt he will be on the bump for Game 1 against whoever the Braves are up against.
