The Braves have suffered a rash of injuries early on this season, but thankfully, none of them have been very serious, and several players have already returned. The next players that could be rejoining the team in Atlanta are Max Fried and Chris Martin. According to David O’Brien of The Athletic, Fried has begun throwing off the mound again. He’ll then move to some simulated action, and if all goes well, he could be activated for the series against the Nationals next week. Martin has also begun throwing side sessions.
#Braves' Max Fried (hamstring) threw off mound today, will throw live batting practice late this week, and if no issues he could be activated during May 4-6 series vs. Nationals, manager Brian Snitker said.

It’s been ugly to watch, but the Braves have been able to right the ship early on and still sit just 1.5 games back of the Mets for first place in the NL East. Atlanta’s rotation could definitely use a boost from the returns of Max Fried and Mike Soroka, but Chris Martin is equally as important. He’s undoubtedly the Braves’ most consistent reliever from the right side, and without him, the late innings have been shaky at best.
