With the All-Star reserves announced over the weekend, the Braves will have three players representing them in Texas — Reynaldo Lopez, Chris Sale, and Marcell Ozuna. The latter of which will also be representing the Braves in this year’s Home Run Derby.

Marcell Ozuna, who has mashed 23 homers this season with a league-leading 72 RBIs, will be competing in the All-Star Game for the third time in his career, and this will be the first time he’s ever competed in the Home Run Derby.
Since its inception in 1985, no Braves player has won the Home Run Derby. Marcell Ozuna might not be the favorite to change that, but few players across the league are as powerful. Hopefully, he can make something special happen next week and continue what has become an almost miraculous turnaround considering where he was a little over a year ago.
