The Braves made another couple of roster moves following Wednesday afternoon’s shellacking of the Angels. Most notably, Ben Heller has been optioned to AAA Gwinnett. Charlie Culberson also cleared waivers and has been outrighted to the Stripers.

Heller had some bright moments in his 16 appearances for the Braves, but in his last time out, he gave up three earned runs in just one-third of an inning. With the Braves adding Pierce Johnson and Brad Hand to their bullpen, somebody had to go, and Heller made the most sense.
The corresponding move has not been announced yet, but it is rather obvious. Brian Snitker announced earlier today that Max Fried will be starting on Friday. That spot is now cleared for him, and on Friday, it should become official.
