Braves make roster move as All-Star breaks begins, what could be next?

As the All-Star festivities begin in Texas, the Braves made a small roster move, outrighting outfielder Brian Anderson to Gwinnett.

It’s a very small roster move that won’t have much of an impact by itself, as Brian Anderson was receiving minimal playing time for the Braves. However, what’s next could be something much bigger.

The move opens up a roster spot, which could mean one of a few things. Perhaps Michael Harris II is fully healthy, and the Braves don’t feel like he needs a rehab assignment. He could be activated after the All-Star break, or perhaps it is Ramon Laureano, who is also on the injured list with an oblique injury.

There’s also the possibility that it means a trade is incoming. Everyone expects the Braves to add at least one outfielder ahead of the trade deadline, probably multiple. The deadline is still more than a couple of weeks away, but this is around the time things start to happen.

Something is on the horizon, and we’ll be the first to inform you when it becomes official.
