With Spring Training winding down, the Braves Opening Day roster is beginning to become more clear, with their most recent move all but guaranteeing top prospect Drake Baldwin will be catching on March 27th in San Diego.

A 12-year MLB veteran, Sandy León has had a fantastic Spring Training for the Braves, clubbing three homers and recording a .986 OPS. Given Sean Murphy will miss the first couple of weeks of the season with a rib injury, there was a chance the Braves considered hanging onto León for depth purposes, but Drake Baldwin has simply been too impressive to keep down any longer.
The 23-year-old is hitting .370 this spring with a .929 OPS, and he’s really been unconscious going back to his promotion to Gwinnett last year. In his final 72 games with the Stripers, he hit .298 with an .891 OPS, which continued in the Arizona Fall League this offseason, where he hit .377 with a .942 OPS.
