The latest updates from Brian Snitker on the Braves injuries were positive.
They hope Acuña, who was scratched from Tuesday’s game and has yet to play since, will be back in the lineup after the weekend, avoiding a stint on the IL.
According to Snitker, Ozzie Albies took a few swings off the tee today and felt “great.” Earlier this week, Snitker said he didn’t believe Albies or Adams would be ready by next week, but hopefully, today was a step towards Albies returning sooner rather than later. With Acuña out and the Braves rotation in shambles, they desperately need him back in the lineup. Snitker also said things are trending up for Matt Adams and Chris Martin as well.
#Braves are hoping to have Acuña back in lineup Monday, and Snitker said Albies hit off a tee today, so he's progressing. Matt Adams and Chris Martin also progressing, so Braves look to start getting some guys back during homestand beginning Monday.

Because of timely hitting and supplementary pieces playing like All-Stars, the Braves have been able to stay above .500 over the first 20 games of this shortened season. But injuries will eventually catch up to them, and we began to see that against the Phillies and Yankees. The starting rotation may be unfixable, but a healthy Braves offense can take this team a long way.
