The Braves lost the battle yesterday afternoon, dropping the series finale against the Washington Nationals, but they won the war when X-rays came back negative on Michael Harris II, who left the game after being hit on the wrist with a pitch.
Harris is not back in the lineup tonight; however, he is considered day-to-day and told Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal Constitution that he’s feeling better and realistically believes he could be back in the lineup within the next few days.
Michael Harris II is feeling better. He said it’s realistic to think he could play in a few days, but added the qualifier that he has to wait to see how his hand feels.

For a Braves offense that is struggling mightily to produce runs, they desperately need Michael Harris back as soon as possible.
Tonight, Atlanta kicks off a series in Minnesota against a Twins team fighting for their own spot in the playoffs. After that, the Braves travel to Philadelphia for a four-game set with the Phillies, their last head-to-head opportunity to make up some ground on the NL East leaders before the end of the season.
