As we wait patiently for Josh Donaldson’s decision, the picture has become overwhelmingly clear. If the Braves offer him a fourth year, he will return to Atlanta. He wants to be back; he wants to finish what this team started a year ago. However, from what has been reported thus far, the Braves are hesitant to meet his requirements.
Josh Donaldson's preference is a return to the #Braves, however their best offer to date is only 3 years. The #Nationals and the #Twins are willing to go 4 years, though. Donaldson will sign with Atlanta if a 4th year is offered. Decision expected soon.

Since the beginning of the offseason, MLB insiders everywhere have questioned whether Atlanta will offer that extra year. It’s far from what we have come to expect from the Braves under Alex Anthopoulos’ leadership. With that being said, the pressure from a division rival may force their hand.
It appears a decision is coming shortly. I wouldn’t be surprised if Donaldson inks a deal before the end of the weekend. As always, we will keep you up to date with the latest news and updates.
