Just before the pivotal Game 4 of the NLDS, the Braves received some pretty devastating news. Jorge Soler tested positive for COVID, meaning he would miss the remainder of the series and likely miss most of the NLCS. It was my belief that he couldn’t return until Game 6 at the earliest, but who cares what I think, because he has been announced available for tonight’s potential series-clinching Game 5.
Soler is available for tonight's game.

With the way Joc Pederson, Eddie Rosario, and Adam Duvall have produced so far in this series, I don’t see Soler working his way back into the starting lineup. However, his bat will be a welcome addition to the bench, which has basically been a bunch of free outs so far in the NLCS. Soler is replacing Cristian Pache on the active roster.
