Atlanta has added some much needed infield depth.

I listed some of the best bench options available left on the market, and Kipnis made the list. From my profile on him:
2020 Stats: .237/.301/.404, 3 HRs, 16 RBIs
Kipnis’ days of being one of the elite second basemen in baseball are certainly behind him, but I still think he’s a great leader that provides a lot more than what you see on the stat sheet. Injuries have undoubtedly caused a lot of his decline, but I’m sure he has still got a few clutch bombs left in him.
In my opinion, Kipnis is a fantastic addition, especially as a bench bat. It appears Kipnis is on a minor league deal, which is even better, but with the first workouts kicking off in three days — Anthopoulos still isn’t done adding to the bench.
Welcome, Jason!
