We are officially nearing 24 hours until the trade deadline, and things are as quiet as ever regarding the Braves. That doesn’t mean there won’t be any moves. I’m expecting plenty before 4:00 ET tomorrow, but as always, Alex Anthopoulos is keeping things close to the vest.
The only new rumor that has come out today is that Atlanta is among a few teams interested in Cincinnati’s Tanner Roark.
Braves and A’s join Yankees with interest in Tanner Roark
— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) July 30, 2019
Before joining the Reds, Roark spent six seasons in Washington. He did have a stellar campaign back in 2016, going 16-10 with a 2.83 ERA. But the rest of his career has been rather unspectacular. It is difficult to see him as a much of an upgrade over Folty or Gausman; however, this is more proof of just how far those two have fallen this season.
Stay tuned to SportsTalkATL for every update as we approach tomorrow’s deadline.
