In a year of nothing but dark clouds, today we got a silver lining.
It was announced minutes ago that LHP Cole Hamels will throw another bullpen session today.
Anthopoulos says that Cole Hamels is still moving in the right direction. Is continuing to build up and will throw another bullpen today

Hamels, who signed with Atlanta this past offseason, has seen more than his fair share of bad luck in 2020. He’s been on the IL since spring training, shifting to the 45-day last month.
If Hamels gets through the session with no discomfort or setbacks, then we could see him back in the rotation sooner rather than later. That would be ideal, as the Braves are in desperate need of starting pitching. Alex Anthopoulos traded for Tommy Milone earlier today, but that’s only putting a band-aid on the bigger problem.
We will keep you updated on Hamels’ progress as we get information. In the meantime, stay keyed into SportsTalkATL for all your trade deadline news, analysis, and updates.
