The Braves reportedly have interest in bringing Kenley Jansen back to serve as their closer again, but he’ll have plenty of teams interested, and the Giants are the first of many to reportedly be eyeing him.

Jansen is coming off an up and down year, but he ended the season very strongly and still led the league in saves. There isn’t a closer with a better track record, and his Baseball Savant page is a sea of red.
I’m sure the Braves would love to have him back. Why wouldn’t they once again want to have one of the best bullpens in baseball?
With that being said, Alex Anthopoulos has much more glaring needs now that Raisel Iglesias is in the fold. He’s capable of closing games, but the Braves don’t have a starting shortstop or left fielder on their roster. If Jansen is looking for a multi-year deal at 35-years-old, which I think he will get, I doubt he’s back in Atlanta next season.
