Mike Foltynewicz made his second start in Gwinnett Tuesday afternoon. Brian Snitker said the plan was for Folty to throw somewhere between 75-80 pitches after the Braves’ Ace pitched five hitless innings in his first appearance of the season.
This one did not go as smoothly; however, as Foltynewicz allowed two runs on four hits, striking out five in 3 2/3 innings. Folty was forced out of the game after 61 pitches following a substantial rain delay. According to a fan that was at the game, Foltynewicz did go to the bullpen and resume throwing during the delay.
Ahh, that would explain it. I'll check to make sure, but that makes sense. Didn't see rain delay in the Gameday feed. https://t.co/Syg4IcN1Jl

According to David O’Brien from the Athletic, the Braves do expect him to make his next turn in the rotation as long as there are no negative effects in the coming days.
