The 2024 MLB season came to an end last night, with the Dodgers winning the World Series in five games following a stunning collapse by the Yankees after leading 5-0. It’s a game that will live rent-free in the heads of New Yorkers for decades, but if it’s any consolation, the Dodgers felt inevitable throughout their entire postseason run. Eventually, it felt like the Commissioner’s Trophy was heading back to Los Angeles for the first time since 2020.
As has been well-documented, Las Vegas never sleeps. Immediately following the conclusion of the World Series, 2025 World Series odds were announced. The Dodgers are once again considered the favorites, as they have been nearly every season over the last decade, but the Braves and Yankees are right behind them with the second-best odds.Â

This isn’t gambling advice, but if you’re eager to bet on the Braves, the offseason might be your best opportunity. The team enters the winter with few unanswered questions. Their core group is set to return, and at full strength, they can go toe-to-toe with the Dodgers talent-wise as well as any team. With or without Max Fried, they’re projected to win close to 100 games this year, making them one of the safest bets to reach the playoffs.
They proved this resilience last season when, despite a string of injuries, they still managed to sneak into the postseason. Ultimately, that’s what you’re betting on: once a team is in the playoffs, anything can happen, as we see year after year.
