Even though Gwinnett’s season is coming to a close, Spencer Strider is headed to AAA after the Mississippi Braves won the AA South:
Braves No. 10 prospect, Spencer Strider, is heading to Triple-A with his third promotion of the year!
Low-A: 0.59 ERA in 15.1 IP
High-A: 2.45 ERA in 14.2 IP
Double-A: 4.71 ERA in 63.0 IPTotal: 3.68 ERA, 150 K in 93.0 IP

As you can see, Strider saw an uptick at every level, but there isn’t a huge cause for concern. Strider was a college product, drafted out of Clemson in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft. You have to imagine Strider will be used primarily out of the bullpen down the stretch for Gwinnett, and there’s a real possibility that he begins the 2022 season in AAA. Hopefully, Strider has a promising debut (if he makes one) because many eyes will be on him going forward as Atlanta’s new #10 prospect.
