The hits just keep on coming for Ender Inciarte, as he is now dealing with a thumb injury, and the Braves aren’t sure when he will be ready to participate in Spring Training again.
Ender Inciarte is dealing with a sore thumb. The Braves aren't sure when he might be ready to resume playing.

As bad as Inciarte has been over the last two seasons, he still had an outside chance of beginning the season as the Braves starting centerfielder. I would say those odds have all but vanished lately, as it has become evident that top-prospect Cristian Pache is the better player now and is the future at the position.
Still, Inciarte is battling for a spot on the Opening Day roster. In my most recent 26-man roster prediction, I included Inciarte, but it’s far from a guarantee, and this injury will not do him any favors. If he comes back for the final couple of weeks of Spring Training and struggles, the Braves might find it best to move on and allow him to find a new home — one where he might have more opportunities.
