Last week, the Dodgers signed Braves legend Eddie Rosario to a minor league pact, and in his first game with Los Angeles, he hit a home run, the first of the MLB spring training.

Rosario is a 10-year veteran but is best known for his heroics in the 2021 National League Championship Series between the Braves and Dodgers. He posted an absurd 1.647 OPS over 28 plate appearances en route to NLCS MVP and a World Series.
The Braves re-signed Rosario to a two-year, $18 million free agent deal following the title, but the last three seasons have been much more of a struggle for him. He didn’t hit well in 2022 before somewhat rebounding in 2023 when he launched 21 homers, but Atlanta chose not to exercise his $9 million club option in 2024.
He landed in Washington, where his struggles continued. The Nationals ended up releasing him in July, where the shorthanded Braves were right there to scoop him back up. Unfortunately, he didn’t recapture any of that magic in Atlanta.
The Dodgers have no risk in Eddie Rosario, but if his first spring training game with LA is any indication, the 33-year-old could contribute for the World Series favorites.
