In a bit of a head scratching move, Bryse Wilson has been sent down to AAA Gwinnett after a very good start last night against Toronto. What isn’t shocking is that Chris Martin is finally back for the Braves.
The #Braves today returned RHP Chris Martin from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day injured list after optioning RHP Bryse Wilson to Triple-A @GoStripers following last night’s game.

Wilson pitched outstanding last night outside of one good swing from Vladdy Jr, but since he is pre-arbitration and still has options, I guess the Braves want to see more of Jacob Webb and Jesse Biddle. Other moves may be coming, but personally, I just want the best men up.
Regardless, Clint wrote a piece earlier detailing how important it is for the Braves to get Chris Martin back. Martin has been a fantastic find for Alex Anthopoulos since coming over in a trade with the Rangers. He seems to get hurt at the worst times, but hopefully, he’s healthy, effective and can provide some juice to a Braves bullpen that badly needs help from a righty. Shane Greene should be ready soon, but he’ll need a little time to find his groove in Gwinnett. Atlanta’s bullpen ERA ranks 22nd in the majors and is a big reason why they are currently under .500 and in third place in the NL East.
