About a week ago, I reported that Jorge Soler’s infamous Game 6 home run ball was put up for auction, with the minimum bid starting at $25,000. At the time, nobody had yet to put in a bid, but things have changed over the last several days. There are now five bids on the ball, and the current bid is sitting at just over $40,000. However, the reserve has still yet to be met.
The auction does not end for another ten days, so if you have a little money left over to spend from the holidays, perhaps you’d like to own a piece of Braves history. But if you’re like me and not in the market for $50,000+ baseballs, I’ll keep you up to date on the price of this special blast.
