The non-tender deadline is tonight, and one guy that was presumably on the bubble was Guillermo Heredia. However, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Braves have avoided arbitration with Heredia, agreeing to a one-year deal worth $1 million.

Considering Heredia was expected to make $1.6 million through arbitration, this is a fantastic move by the Braves. He provides outfield depth, but most importantly, Heredia is a critical piece to the clubhouse, keeping everybody loose and confident. Last season, Heredia hit .220 with five home runs for the Braves in 305 at-bats.
