Standing at 6’3 and over 230-pounds at 16-years-old, Riley looked like a Division 1 college linebacker, but instead, he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. Riley’s dad was a standout punter at Mississippi State and even got some professional looks following his collegiate career. However, the imitation of his father ended once Riley graduated high school. Rather than going on to punt at Mississippi state, he went the professional baseball route, and it’s already paying substantial dividends. Following a breakout 2021 campaign, Riley has the opportunity to establish himself as one of the best third basemen in baseball.
