If you’re looking for Braves trade deadline news, there has unfortunately been none to speak of thus far. Alex Anthopoulos has yet to swing a deal, and the clock is ticking, with just about 24 hours remaining before 6:00 ET on July 30th. However, many Braves fans will be very happy with the latest news surrounding Comcast and their dispute with Diamond Sports Group.
Per Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the two sides have reached an agreement, and the Braves will return to Comcast on August 1st.
Great news for Braves fans: Diamond Sports Group and Comcast have reached an agreement. The Braves will be back on that cable package on Aug. 1.
The carriage dispute is over.

“We appreciate Diamond Sports working with us to reach a solution that returns the Bally Sports RSNs to our Ultimate TV customers in a way that reflects the changing video marketplace for local sports,” Greg Rigdon, President of Content Acquisition for Comcast said in a statement, via the AJC. “We look forward to making these networks available on Aug. 1, so customers can enjoy watching their favorite teams again.”
For three months, many Braves fans have been unable to watch their favorite baseball team on TV, which is especially ironic because Comcast has a headquarters in The Battery, which can be seen from inside Truist Park. It’s been an especially frustrating season for Braves Country in a number of ways, but at least some of that will be remedied by this news. Now, it’s time for Alex Anthopoulos to swing some trades and improve this team.
