Shocker: the Atlanta Braves suffered another injury scare on Friday afternoon to one of their key pieces, as Austin Riley was struck on the same wrist he fractured last year, which ended his season. It was an eerily similar moment, but he stayed in the game to run the bases before being pulled for what the Braves called precautionary reasons.
Soon after, X-Rays came back negative, but that’s exactly what happened last year before a CT scan revealed a fractured wrist. Thankfully, the CT scan was clean this time. Austin Riley has been labeled day-to-day and will not even have to return to Atlanta for further tests.
Austin Riley didn’t suffer a fracture. Day to day. He doesn’t even have to go back to Atlanta for further testing.

Braves Country can take a sigh of relief… for now. With the way the last calendar year has gone, it feels like everyday the Braves go without an injury is one that shouldn’t be taken for granted.
