The Atlanta Braves have officially posted their postseason roster for the National League Division Series against the Phillies that begins today.

The most notable name on the roster is Spencer Strider, who has been dealing with an oblique injury. The team has said several times that they were optimistic about his chances of returning, and most recently, Strider himself said he “feels great” after throwing off a mound recently. Max Fried will take the mound in Game 1, and Kyle Wright will likely get the nod in Game 2. But if Strider, who has dominated the Phillies this season, can start Game 3, that would be a massive boost.
Another interesting part of the NLDS roster is Tyler Matzek being left off. A hero in last year’s playoffs is dealing with elbow discomfort after his last outing in Miami, but the Braves bullpen is as solid as any team in the postseason, so his absence won’t be nearly as detrimental as it would’ve been last year.
Tyler Matzek felt elbow discomfort after the last outing in Miami. He’s in Texas being evaluated.
