Over the weekend, the Braves and Reds series was one of the wildest I can remember. Both teams entered carrying lengthy winning streaks; both teams sat in first place in their respective divisions, 47 runs were scored, and all three games were decided by just one run.
To add even more intrigue to the matchup, Great American Ballpark broke attendance records, as their fan base is finally starting to believe in what the Reds are building.
The total attendance for this Reds three-game series (126,724) is the highest attendance figure for any three-game regular season series in GABP history.

It was an eye-opening weekend for the sport of baseball. The Reds are quickly becoming one of the most exciting teams in the game, and they had the opportunity to test themselves against the best team in the National League. Cincinnati should be thrilled with the way their team competed to the final pitch, even if they fell just short of becoming the first team to beat the Braves in a series this month.
On the latest episode of SportsTalkATL, we discuss the Braves incredible run in June, the high-powered offense, their series against the Reds, and more.
