On Monday morning, the Braves made it official to extend Brian Snitker for two more years.

Jon Heyman reported a few days ago that the Braves were planning on extending the National League Manager of the Year candidate. The only question was for how long. The two-year deal gives Snitker a little bit of a cushion that he has not had since becoming the interim manager back in 2016.
There is no doubt Snit has the eyes, ears and respect of everybody in the clubhouse.
However, for the first time, there will be high expectations for this Braves team. Reaching the playoffs is no longer the goal, success in the playoffs will determine how long Snitker will manage in Atlanta.
